Rehoboth student wins scholarship from broadcast association group

REHOBOTH - Salvador Lopez III of Rehoboth was recently awarded $2,000 in scholarship money. He was among 10 college students to receive money for college from the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association (MBA) for the 2016-2017 school year.

Lopez, who attends Curry College in Boston, was chosen out of almost 100 applicants pursuing broadcasting careers who were judged according to financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular and community involvement, and an essay describing their interest in a broadcasting career.
