Preservation group offers scholarship

  • Canton Preservation Society is offering a scholarship to a Stark County student preparing for a career related to historic preservation.

    Eligible applicants are students in technical, undergraduate or graduate studies who are planning to enroll or already enrolled in a program in historic preservation or a related field such as building preservation, history, architecture, American studies, urban planning and museum studies. Students must be enrolled in a U.S. university, college or institution.

    A maximum award of $1,000 will be paid directly to the school for tuition.

    Eligibility is based in part on financial need and on application materials, academic performance, community service and promise shown for future achievement.
