MONTICELLO - Stephen Hong of Monticello, a senior at Monticello High School, was awarded the Stanley Segal Scholarship for the Visual Arts for 2015.
The $500 scholarship, established by Stanley Soffer in memory of Stanley J. Segal, was open to high school seniors from Sullivan County and Wayne County, Pa., who plan to pursue art.
The contest was juried by Teri Hackett and administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance in Narrowsburg.
Stephen will attend the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he plans to major in animation.
