To be considered for the annual award, each applicant is asked to complete a case study. In addition to the submission, scholarships are awarded based on merit, GPAs, personal essays and interviews with YMA FSF ambassadors.
An additional 10 SCAD students representing the university's fashion, fashion marketing and management, and fibers programs offered at its Savannah, Atlanta and Hong Kong locations each received $5,000 scholarships. This is the largest number of SCAD students to ever have been recognized at one time.
