KALAMAZOO, MI -– The deadline is March 1 for Kalamazoo-area high school seniors to apply for college scholarships offered through the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.
Last year, the foundation awarded over $1 million to 367 area students.
The scholarships are offered by the Community Foundation through a competitive application process to Kalamazoo County students or students graduating from a high school in Kalamazoo County.
The foundation also offers scholarships for current undergrad students, graduate students, and non-traditional students.
Complete eligibility criteria and application requirements for all scholarships are available online at www.kalfound.org/scholarships.
Applications for Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarships can be completed and submitted online, or may request a paper application be mailed to them. Scholarship seekers can apply for up to eight Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarships.
"With strategic priorities of equity and education, our scholarship program is a vital part of our work to help students overcome financial barriers to their education," Nancy Timmons, scholarship manager for the Community Foundation, said in a news release.
Call Timmons or Brittany Morton, scholarship coordinator, for more information at 269-381-4416.
