Two county students win scholarships

Lauren "Macey" Chapman of Gore and Adrianna Elbon of Vian, were recently each awarded a scholarship by the Pervasive Parenting Center (PPC). The inaugural scholarship recipients were chosen for their hard work, dedication to continuing their education, and perseverance through strenuous circumstances. Each scholarship is worth $200.

Chapman wants to pursue a career in nursing through the Indian Capital Technology Center in Muskogee. Her deficits in math, caused by a learning disability, have caused her to struggle throughout school, but her hard work has helped her to earn her high school diploma.
